1. Our commitment

The Shit Runners Club (SRC) is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for everyone who takes part in our activities. While running and physical activity always carry some level of risk, we take reasonable steps to reduce those risks and to look after the wellbeing of participants, volunteers, and organisers.

We aim to balance safety with keeping SRC relaxed, inclusive, and accessible - without unnecessary rules or pressure.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

· All organised SRC runs and activities

· All participants, volunteers, and organisers

· Any informal social activity connected to organised runs

3. Responsibilities

SRC organisers / run leaders will:

· Carry out and review risk assessments for activities

· Adjust or cancel activities if conditions are unsafe

· Communicate clearly about meeting points, routes, and expectations

· Encourage participants to act responsibly and look out for each other

· Respond appropriately to incidents, accidents, or concerns

Participants are expected to:

· Take responsibility for their own health and fitness

· Run within their own limits and comfort levels

· Follow reasonable guidance from run leaders

· Wear suitable clothing and footwear
